The most common words in anime and manga – III

Another article about as palavras mais comuns em animes e mangás – III desse série de posts!

All words in this series of articles were chosen at random. Therefore, there is no basis or sequence to read this or future articles on this subject.

Remember that anime and manga have a completely informal language and, in some cases, a stereotype that does not represent the everyday life of Japanese people.

Therefore, some words or expressions may not be well understood or widely used in the real life of our oriental friends.

As I am not an expert in anime and manga, there may be imperfections in the translation or way of using some words.

When that happens, I ask for your help to let me know and correct me when necessary.

Por último, sempre que possível, adicionarei frases em japonês como exemplos de uso das palavras comentadas. Além disso, as traduções das frases e palavras não são necessariamente literais.

Sendo assim, pode haver diferenças nas frases em japonês e suas respectivas traduções para português.

The most common words in anime and manga – III

21. 早い

The word hayaku usually means fastfácilearlybefore time. Mas em muitas situações de animes e mangás, ela acaba assumindo o significado de come onmais rápido and etc.

Example:

彼は早口だ。

Ele fala rápido.

22.

hen é muito usada como adjetivo ( 変な ) and has the meaning of strangedifferent or peculiar.

Por outro lado, em muitas frases de animes e mangás, quando huh é combinado com outros substantivos ou extensões, ele pode assumir o significado diferente.

henshin é um bom exemplo disso, possuindo o significado de mudança, or transformação. Esse foi um típico caso que encontrei no anime Sailor Moon.

Example:

彼の名前は変な名前だ。

He has a strange name.

23. 変体

Já comentei uma vez sobre a palavra hentai in the article about how to curse in japanese. So I'm going to say a little about her.

What is most curious about the word hentai é o fato de seu significado ter mudado com o tempo.

From what I originally learned, hentai tinha o significado de mudança, transformação ou metamorfose. Como o tempo, ela mudou seu significado para abnormality or not normal.

Hoje em dia, na língua japonesa coloquial, hentai passou a assumir o significado de pervertido, tarado, perversão.

24. 酷い

hidoi é uma palavra que pode estar relacionada com o ato de ser rude or thick com alguém. Apesar disso, ela geralmente tem sentido de cruelty when witnessing something terrível.

Example:

彼は酷い風邪をひいた。

Ele pegou um resfriado terrível.

25.

as the word hime, não há muito o que falar sobre ela além do fato de significar Princess.

26. いい

Está é uma palavra associada com satisfação, que em muitos casos é bem pessoal. ii has its meaning associated with something Goodótimo.

From what I've learned, ii é uma variação de yoi, increasing its amount of meanings to perfeito, agradável and etc.

Acredito que as expressões mais comuns de ii they are yoku (adverbial form of ii) and youkatta (form of ii in the past).

When youkatta é exclamado por um personagem, ela pode assumir o significado de I got it!que ótimo! How nice!

Examples:

いいひとです。

Pessoa agradável/boa. ou Ele é uma pessoa agradável/boa.

とてもいいよ。

Isso é muito bom!/Muito bom!

いい日ですね。

Está um belo dia não é?

27. 行く

Além de iku have the meaning of go (verbo ir), ele possui outras conjugações bem comuns em animes e mangás.

Elas são ikimashou (forma mashou dos verbos em japonês no modo formal) e ikou (mashou form in informal mode) meaning we willlike (go and ikenasai (get out!) what they mean goget out.

Examples:

彼は映画に行く。

She's going to see a movie./She went to the movies.

車で行こう。

Let's go by car.

学校へ行きなさい。

Vá para a escola.

28.

Inochi means life no sentido de estar com vida ou estar vivo, mas em animes e mangás ela é usada em frases geralmente dramáticas.

Example:

命あっての物種。

Enquanto existir vida, existe esperança.

彼は命が危ない。

A vida dele é perigosa./Ele vive perigosamente.

29. 痛い

In the article about as partes do corpo em japonês, I talked a little about the word itai, que é usada para dizer onde está doendo.

Like itai não possui uma tradução ao pé da letra, ela deve ser interpretada e assumir um significado de acordo com o contexto. O que ajuda muito é que itai sempre se refere a dor física.

Examples:

頭が痛い。

A cabeça dói./Estou com dor de cabeça.

30. 地獄

in the word jigoku não existe nada de especial. Seu significado mais comum é hellhades or lugar de punição e sofrimento.

Examples:

天国か地獄。

Céu ou inferno.

そこはこの世の地獄となった。

This place has become hell on earth.

Conclusion

Bem pessoal, por enquanto é isso. No próximo artigo vamos conversar sobre mais dez palavras comuns em animes e mangás.
