These sounds are usually formed with the symbols \u3084, \u3086, \u3088. For each hiragana family, we can use a specific syllable to create the double kanas. For example, in the \u304b(ka) family, we use the syllable \u304d(ki) to form \u304d\u3083(kya), \u304d\u3085(kyu) and \u304d\u3087(kyo).<span id=\"more-68\"><\/span><\/p>\n<h2>The double kanas in hiragana<\/h2>\n<p>In all families we always use the <a href=\"https:\/\/comoaprenderjapones.net\/en\/hiragana-vowels\/\">vowel syllable<\/a> \u201cI\u201d to form the double kanas. The only difference is that, to form the double kana, we use the hiragana syllable normally and then write the symbols \u3084, \u3086 and \u3088 in a smaller size than normal, almost half their natural size.<\/p>\n<h2>the calligraphy exercise<\/h2>\n<p>Below is the link to download the PDF file with the exercise to practice writing the Double Kanas in hiragana.
