These accents modify the sounds of the syllables of the Japanese alphabet and have the same classification that we studied in hiragana: consonant and vowel.<span id=\"more-65\"><\/span><\/p>\n<h2>consonant accent<\/h2>\n<p>Consonant accent is characterized by the use of two lines at the top of katakana symbols. In addition, when using the consonant accent, the sound of the symbols becomes more \u201cfans\u201d. For example:<\/p>\n<p>K&#039;s family (Ka\u30ab, Ki\u30ad, Ku\u30af, Ke\u30b1, Ko\u30b3) transforms into G(Ga\u30ac,Gi\u30ae,Gu\u30b0,Ge\u30b2,Go\u30b4); the family of the S (Sa \u30b5, Shi \u30b7, Su \u30b9, Se \u30bb, So \u30bd ) turns into the family of the Z ( Za \u30b6, Ji \u30b8, Zu \u30ba, Ze \u30bc, Zo \u30be ); T&#039;s family (Ta \u30bf, Tchi \u30c1, Tsu \u30c4, Te \u30c6, To \u30c8 ) turns into D&#039;s family ( Da \u30c0, Ji \u30c2, Zu \u30c5, De \u30c7, Do \u30c9 ) and H&#039;s family ( Ha \u30cf, Hi\u30d2, Fu\u30d5, He\u30d8, Ho\u30db) turns into B&#039;s family (Ba\u30d0, Bi\u30d3, Bu\u30d6, Be\u30d9, Bo\u30dc). These are the only families that can use the consonant accent.<\/p>\n<p>Note that in both the S family and the T family, the syllables SHI and TCHI become JI, and the syllables SU and TSU become ZU. As in hiragana, it is only with time to be familiar with the Japanese language that we will be able to distinguish the most appropriate usage for these two syllables.<\/p>\n<h2>vowel accent<\/h2>\n<p>The vowel accent is characterized by the use of a circle at the top of the katakana symbol. It is also known as the explosive accent because it transforms the H family (Ha\u30cf, Hi\u30d2, Fu\u30d5, He\u30d8, Ho\u30db) into the P family (Pa\u30d1, Pi\u30d4, Pu\u30d7, Pe\u30da, Po\u30dd). And this is the only case in which the vowel accent is used.<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Conclusion<\/h2>\n<p>The alphabet accents in katakana is very easy to learn. If you remember the accents in hiragana, you may have noticed that in katakana, everything works the same way.
