Since many readers have asked me to write articles on Japanese vocabulary, I thought it would be a good start to write about the most common words in anime and manga, since most people who study Japanese like anime and manga. Is not true?
to form a early japanese vocabulary, I made a very long list of words that will be discussed in many articles. With them, I hope to contribute to a better vocabulary related to anime and manga in Japanese.
Some initial considerations
All words in this series of articles were chosen at random. Therefore, there is no basis or sequence to read this or future articles on this subject.
Remember that anime and manga have a completely informal language and, in some cases, a stereotype that does not represent the everyday life of Japanese people. Therefore, some words or expressions may not be well understood or widely used in the real life of our oriental friends.
As I am not an expert in anime and manga, there may be imperfections in the translation or way of using some words. When that happens, I ask for your help to let me know and correct me when necessary.
Finally, whenever possible, I will add Japanese phrases as examples of the use of commented words. Furthermore, translations of phrases and words are not necessarily literal. Therefore, there may be differences in Japanese sentences and their respective Portuguese translations.

The most common words in anime and manga
From now on, here are the first twenty most common words in anime and manga. Use them to form your own japanese vocabulary.
1. 危ない
The word abunai has a good range of usage and translations. In the most common uses, abunai reflects a warning to characters to be vigilant and alert as something bad could happen. Usually abunai is translated as danger, dangerous, unsafe, careful and so on.
Examples:
この河で泳ぐのは危ない。
IT'S dangerous swim in this river.
こんな夜更けに女の子の一人歩きは危ない。
It's not safe for a girl to walk alone late at night.
2. 愛
There in practically 100% of contexts it means love. Despite being unsure to state this, I have never seen this word used in any other sense. In the case of romantic love, or romanticism, the most common is to see 恋 (koi, sometimes it is also pronounced with ren).
Example:
あなたを愛しているのよ。
Me master you.
3. 相手
We need to be extremely careful with this word and take a good look at the context, as it has contradictory translations. night so much can mean companion or partner, how much opponent or rival.
Example:
あなたのダンスの相手はだれですか。
Who is yours partner of dance.
いつ来てくださっても、将棋の相手をしますよ。
No matter when you come, I'll be yours opponent of Japanese chess.
4. 悪魔
Another well-known word for those who love anime and manga. Devil Fruit means Devil, demon, satan, evil spirit, enemy or evil.
Examples:
その悪魔は広島と長崎を破壊した。
This one bad destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
その男は悪魔に魂を売った。
This man sold his soul to the Devil.
5. ありがとう
Another well-known word for everyone who has contact with the Japanese language is arigatou. she means thanks and has many different shapes like arigatou enjoyimasu (formal mode of arigatou) or arigatou come imashita (Used to thank you for something that has already happened.).
6. 馬鹿
baka it is one of the most widespread ways of insulting a person who considers himself to be intelligent. Depending on the context and tone of voice, baka it can mean “dumb” or “retarded”. Furthermore, baka also has a number of variations for curse in japanese in the most diverse ways.

君の友達は馬鹿か何かか。

7. 化け物
Bakemon can be translated as monster, goblin, apparition, spirit, ghost, spectrum or simply a big ugly creature. Unlike the other words we know in this article, bakemono does not require great care in the use of sentences in Japanese.
8. 美人
The word bijin, although it means pretty person, is usually used with the meaning of pretty Woman, mainly in anime and manga. Furthermore, bijin is an accepted word in more formal conversations as it is not a very disrespectful word.
Example:
あの女が美人なものか。
that woman is not beautiful?
9. 違う
In anime and manga, when someone declares that another person is wrong or made a mistake, it is usually used chicago. although it means be different or be mistaken, in the common context of anime and manga she may have some unexpected translations like no way, no way, this is ridiculous or do not be ridiculous.
Examples:
違う！
Wrong!
あなたはいくつかの点で私と違う。
You're different of me on some things.
あの写しは原本と違う。

10. 力
By romaji, many people might not be able to figure out the meaning of chikara. But the kanji makes it much easier to understand this word. chikara means force, power, energy, force and etc.
