Prof. Pier: When, how much and how to study Japanese?

studying japanese

After know a little about the Japanese language and learn how simple it is write in japanese on your windows computer now let's learn how, how much and when to study thanks to Professor Pierluigi Piazzi's book (Prof. Pier).

Learning hiragana and katakana is relatively easy compared to Kanji. Because they have few characters in a matter of a few weeks we learn almost 100%, even if sometimes we confuse some characters.

To start learning, not memorizing, you take the complete table with Hiragana or Katakana and study throughout the day and before going to sleep review what you studied, about 30 minutes is enough.

When to Study According to Professor Pier

According to the teacher. Pier when we sleep we end up forgetting what we learned the next day. To avoid this, it is necessary to review the class on the same day you watched it to indicate to the brain that that content is important, avoiding forgetting it.

Aula assistida hoje é aula estudada…hoje!

Professor Pier

How much to study?

Study 30.40 minutes and if it's more than that, don't forget to take breaks, for example; study 30 minutes and take a 15-minute break and so on. You yourself will know how much is needed according to the passage of time, because only the person knows his limit. When you're feeling tired, it's good to take a break.

How to study?

We have already seen that to retain and really learn we need to review the class or material we studied the day before going to sleep and it is essential that we take breaks when we are studying.

Para guardar/memorizar com eficiência no cérebro é preciso também fazer, ou seja, colocar e prática o que está estudando no dia…escrevendo e de preferência com o lápis e não no seu computador digitando.

The above tips were taken from the Learning Intelligence book by Prof. Pier, now it's easier for you study be a language or anything else. Allied with ANKI you will memorize the Japanese alphabet without problems and hardly forget it.

Whatever you study in Japanese, put these sentences in anki to review them at the end of the day.

Many people think this book is self-help, but I truly believe it is a manual on how to study and learn effectively.

as the Professor Pier says in the book:

When in conversation with mothers of students, I hear phrases like:

– Minha filha estuda de manhã e vai à escola aprender.

I usually correct by saying:

– A senhora acaba de cometer dois equívocos: sua filha não estuda de manhã. Ela I attended classes in the morning! Also, she doesn't attend classes to learn! she watched them for understand.

In the Other period you could say:

– Minha filha estuda à tarde e vai para casa aprender.

I repeat: to really learn, just being self-taught!

In short, in addition to the tips given above, you need to be self-taught and be able to manage on your own in the search for what you want to learn.

Outra coisa é nunca estude na véspera de uma prova ou algo do tipo…dica do Pier 🙂 .
